ABOUT US

WA Multicultural Lions Club was established in 2023 with the aim of addressing the needs of the local community, particularly the vulnerable and marginalised communities.

WA Multicultural Lions Club is a brainchild of Rasa Subramaniam, a migrant from Malaysia in the 1960s. Mr Subramaniam, is an active member of the local community for over 50 years, pivotal in the establishment of many local multicultural community groups, served on boards and committees as a pioneer in the areas of Multiculturalism and Health and was a former Deputy Mayor for the City of Melville. His passion to serve the community led him to Lions Bullcreek Club where he served as a President for four years before establishing the first WA Multicultural Lions Club.

In line with the Mission of Lions Club to empower volunteers to serve their communities and meet humanitarian needs, WA Multicultural Lions Club aims to direct its efforts towards addressing the needs of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities (CALD) in the areas of Aged care, Mental Health, English language proficiency and refugee resettlement.

We meet at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the Month at Kardinya Community Centre, corner of Prescott Drive and Williamson Rd, Kardinya WA 6163.
